Suraj Shahu, ACA, is an experienced professional in asset liability management and risk control, currently serving as Assistant Vice President ALM Risk and FTP Control at First Abu Dhabi Bank since October 2021. With a robust background spanning several institutions, Suraj has expertise in interest rate risk and liquidity risk, implementing systems to ensure compliance with Basel regulations and enhancing reporting frameworks. Previous roles include positions at Dubai Islamic Bank, Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd, and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, where Suraj focused on liquidity risk management, market risk policy, and regulatory reporting. Suraj holds a Chartered Accountant degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
