Nelson Teixeira

Nelson Teixeira has extensive experience in digital banking, having worked at BankNewport since 2001. Nelson started as Vice President/Director of Digital Banking, managing various aspects such as the ATM network, mobile banking, online banking, and project management. Currently, Nelson holds the position of Senior Vice President/Director of Digital Banking, where they continue to oversee digital banking operations, budgeting, vendor contract negotiations, and strategic planning. Nelson also monitors the overall customer experience and payments strategy. In addition to their role at BankNewport, Nelson is a board member at Project GOAL Inc. and previously worked at Sovereign Bank as the AVP, Call Center Manager.

Nelson Teixeira obtained a Bachelor's Degree in the School of Business Administration from Rhode Island College between 1990 and 1994. Nelson then pursued a 2-year Banking degree (Executive Bank School) at the New England School of Financial Studies from 2010 to 2012, specializing in Banking at Babson College.
