Elaina Jo Smith

Elaina Jo Smith is a Certified Public Accountant and Fiduciary Compliance Officer with extensive experience in various financial institutions. Currently serving as Vice President at BankPlus since November 2025, Elaina previously held the role of Senior Audit Manager - Compliance and Vice President - Audit Manager at Trustmark Bank from August 2021 to October 2025. Prior to that, Elaina worked at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi as Manager of Operational Compliance and Quality Assurance and Senior Compliance Auditor from November 2016 to July 2021. Elaina's career began at the Mississippi Office of the State Auditor, where responsibilities included positions as Audit Supervisor and Field Auditor from May 2012 to November 2016. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Mississippi College and an Associate's of Arts in Biology from Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
