Michael Dimillo

Michael DiMillo is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in originating and executing credit facilities, primarily serving private equity funds, independent sponsors, and family offices. Currently serving as the Sponsor Finance Practice Leader at BankUnited since July 2022, Michael collaborates with senior credit funds, mezzanine funds, and other lenders to deliver tailored financial structures. Previous roles include Managing Director at Prospect Capital Management, where responsibilities encompassed managing debt and equity investments in Middle Market companies, and Managing Director Business Development at Wells Fargo, where Michael achieved substantial transaction volume. Earlier in the career, Michael held positions at Wachovia Securities in investment banking, contributing to significant capital market transactions. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from Emory University, alongside a Master’s in Pulp and Paper Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine.
