Mike Gorton

Mike Gorton has a strong background in auditing and risk management. Mike began their career as a Senior Auditor at Symonds, Evans & Company, P.C. in 1999 and worked there until 2004. Mike then joined Dingus, Zarecor & Associates PLLC as a Supervisor from 2004 to 2006. Following that, they worked as a VP and Internal Auditor at F&M Bank from 2006 to 2007. Mike then joined Banner Bank, where they held various roles including VP and Senior Auditor from 2007 to 2012, and SVP and Director of Internal Audit from 2012 until present. In their current role, they oversee the execution of an enterprise-wide audit plan, works closely with executive and senior managers, and brings best practices to the internal audit function.

Mike Gorton obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration from The University of Montana - College of Business from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Montana from 1994 to 1996. Mike also attended Montana Technological University from 1991 to 1994, where they studied Engineering. Mike completed their high school education at Butte High School from 1987 to 1991. Mike Gorton has additional certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from the Washington State Board of Accountancy and as a Chartered Global Management Accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
