Michael Garnreiter

Michael Garnreiter, chairman of the Banner Health Board of Directors, is vice president of finance and treasurer of Shamrock Foods Company, a Phoenix, Arizona-based regional food distribution and dairy processing company. Previously, he was managing director of Fenix Financial Forensics, a boutique consulting firm specializing in financial damages and litigation support. He also served as treasurer and chief financial officer of Main Street and Main, a publicly traded restaurant operating company.

Garnreiter’s nearly four decades of business, financial and consulting experience spans such industries as mining, manufacturing, food service, entertainment, health care and more. In addition, he had a robust accounting and auditing career with Arthur Andersen.

Garnreiter is a certified public accountant in Arizona and California, and he is a designated financial expert according to the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Long Beach.
