Regina Palis has a diverse work experience. Regina started their career in 1997 as a Language Instructor and later became an ESL Teacher, where they administered and coordinated tests for ESL learners. Regina also worked as a Science Teacher and developed a new curriculum for the Riverside School District. Regina then became a Coordinator for 9-12th grade students, managing testing and providing staff training for English learner issues. Regina was also recognized for their work in developing and implementing a high school newspaper for ELD and Non-ELD students. In 2014, Regina served as a Program Facilitator at Val Verde Continuation High School, overseeing ESL departments in seven inner city schools. Regina later worked as an Assistant Principal at West Contra Costa Unified School District before joining Banning Unified School District as an Assistant Principal and later as Summer School Principal. Outside of education, Regina pursued acting and competed as a Cross Country Skier and Biathlete in the Olympics. Regina also worked as an Environmental Health Specialist and served as a guest speaker at various conferences.
Regina Palis completed their Doctor of Education - EdD degree in Organizational Leadership at Grand Canyon University from 2017 to 2021. Regina obtained their Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor from St. Cloud State University in 1994-1996. Prior to that, they also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Northern Michigan University from 1980 to 1985. Additionally, Regina holds various certifications related to teaching, administration, and observing teachers.
