Hazem Ashmawy

Hazem Ashmawy is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the International CIO for Banque Misr UAE since June 2022, overseeing the IT operations across multiple regions including UAE, KSA, Europe, Africa, and the Far East. Prior to this, Hazem held the position of Head of Information Technology Operations at Banque Misr from August 2019 to June 2022 and led the IT Project Management Office at Faisal Islamic Bank from April 2017 to August 2019, where significant project management practices were established. In earlier roles, Hazem managed banking IT infrastructure, led core banking implementations, and supported various IT operations across institutions such as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt and National Bank for Development. Hazem holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Cairo University.
