Dr. Iván Venzor-Cárdenas

Dr. Iván Venzor-Cárdenas has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, and database management. Dr. Iván is currently the Machine Learning Director at Banregio, where they also served as the Regional Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence Deputy Director. In 2020, they worked as a NASA-SETI FDL Machine Learning Researcher at Frontier Development Lab. Additionally, they have lectured on artificial intelligence and data mining at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Prior to these roles, Dr. Venzor-Cárdenas held positions at FEMSA, serving as the Big Data and Mobility Lead and the Oracle Applications and Databases Team Leader. Dr. Iván also worked as an Oracle DBA at FEMSA Logística and as a Junior Oracle DBA at CSI-FCFM-UANL.

Dr. Iván Venzor-Cárdenas has a diverse education history. Dr. Iván obtained a Certificate in Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Accounting and Finance and a Master's Degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. In addition, they hold a Deep Reinforcement Learning Nanodegree from Udacity and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Finance from Universidad Tecmilenio. Dr. Venzor-Cárdenas also has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.

Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications, including Decision Intelligence from LinkedIn, Building AI-Based Cybersecurity Pipelines and Building Transformer-Based Natural Language Processing Applications from NVIDIA, and the Big Data XSeries Certificate from edX. Dr. Iván also holds certifications in subjects such as Operations Management, Statistical Reasoning for Public Health, Financial Accounting, Marketing, R Programming, and Data Science. Additionally, Dr. Venzor-Cárdenas has received an ITIL Foundation certification.
