Homero A. Martinez Garibay

Homero A. Martinez Garibay, PhD has extensive experience in the field of economics and financial analysis. Homero A. currently holds the role of Director of Financial Analysis at Banregio, where they lead the economic, equity, and market research efforts. Previously, they worked as a Senior Economist at BBVA Research, focusing on sectoral and regional economic outlooks for Mexico. Homero A. has also worked at MSCI Inc. as an Associate in Analytics Client Coverage Americas, where they provided support and addressed inquiries from RiskMetrics clients. Additionally, Homero has experience as a researcher and lecturer in economics at Université Paris Dauphine, where they focused on business cycle macroeconomics, international trade, and social network analysis. Before that, they worked as an Economic Analyst at France Stratégie / Services du Premier ministre, conducting international policy analysis. Homero A. gained further experience as an intern in economic research at the United Nations, where they studied the economic impact of Foreign Direct Investment flows in Chile. Homero A. then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Econometrics from Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, which they completed in 2010. In 2012, they obtained a Master 1 degree in Analysis and Economic Policy from Nantes Université. Following that, they pursued a Research Seminar of CGE Equilibrium Models for Poverty and Income Distribution Analysis at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2013. In the same year, they also completed a Master 2 degree in International Economics and Development from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL. Homero A. Martinez Garibay successfully completed their PhD in Economics at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL in 2018 with a focus on Macroeconomics, Aggregate Fluctuations, and Production Networks.
