Ben Elgin

Senior Software Engineer at Bantam Tools

Ben Elgin has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ben is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Bantam Tools since March 2018. Prior to this, they worked at 3rdTech, Inc. for 18 years as a Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for developing software and hardware solutions for forensic scanning and photography, as well as high-precision optical tracking systems. Ben also handled customer support, production, and other related tasks.

Ben also has experience in event management and programming. Ben served as the Director of Programming at Shatterdome Atlanta, a Pacific Rim themed science fiction convention, from November 2013 to November 2015. In this role, they worked with panel presenters and guests, scheduled programming and events, and collaborated with the Convention Committee to develop convention content.

Additionally, Ben worked as the Comics and Media Track Director at ConTemporal, LLC from June 2011 to June 2013. Prior to that, they had an internship in software development at Media Supercollider in 1997. Overall, Ben's work experience reflects their expertise in software engineering, event management, and customer support.

Ben Elgin earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Ben then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, attending from 1998 to 2000.
