John C. MacDonell

John C. MacDonell has over 20 years of experience in the mining and metals industry. John C. is currently working as a Project Director at Bantrel Co. since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Principal at MacDonell Ventures Ltd. starting from June 2020. John also held key positions at Wood, where they served as the Vice President of Global Business Development, Mining & Minerals from October 2017 to June 2020. Before Wood, they worked at Amec Foster Wheeler as the Vice President of Business Development, Global Mining from June 2017 to October 2017. John has also gained experience at Mining Capital Projects, Bechtel Mining & Metals, Bechtel Chile Ltda, SNC-Lavalin, AMEC Mining & Metals, and Kvaerner, where they held various managerial and leadership roles.

John C. MacDonell completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Geological/Mineral Processing Engineering at the University of Toronto from 1975 to 1979. John C. furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on International Business at the Schulich School of Business, York University, from 1997 to 2002.
