Javier de Villanueva Baygual

Javier de Villanueva Baygual is an experienced professional in the hospitality and real estate sectors, currently serving as the Director of Development Europe for Banyan Tree Group since July 2023. Javier also holds the position of Associate Professor at ENEB, specializing in Real Estate Hospitality, franchises, and hotel investment. Previous roles include Development Director Iberia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, Associate Professor at Gestintur, and Director of Development & Acquisitions for BWH Hotel Group® in Spain and Portugal. Javier has extensive experience in hotel management and financial advisory, having worked in leadership roles at BNP Paribas and JLL, as well as strategy consulting at Deloitte. Educational qualifications include an MBA from IESE Business School and a degree in Business Administration from Universitat de Barcelona.
