Melissa McGowan

Melissa McGowan has extensive experience in education and behavioral therapy, currently serving as a Classroom Teacher at Banyan Tree Educational Services since June 2014 and as a Registered Behavioral Technician since December 2016, where direct therapeutic services are provided to children with autism. Prior experience includes teaching core subjects such as English, Physics, Algebra, and Biology at the San Diego Center for Children from January 2007 to March 2014, along with responsibilities as a case manager for twelve students. Additionally, Melissa worked as a Reading Therapist at the Dyslexia Training Institute, employing the Orten-Gillingham Approach for students with Dyslexia, and was a Credential Candidate at High Tech High during 2012-2013. Melissa also served as a consultant at Phase Transition from 2003 to 2013. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Services obtained from the University of Phoenix between 2001 and 2005.
