Jennessa Burks

Jennessa Burks is a dedicated educator and creative professional with extensive experience in teaching and the arts. As a 4th grade teacher at Cambridge Public Schools since June 2019, Jennessa fosters an inclusive classroom that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth. Jennessa also owns Jennessa_Art, creating unique artworks in acrylic and gouache, and serves as the Resident Lead Mural Artist for Main IDEA Youth & Arts, engaging with youth to co-create public murals. Jennessa's academic background includes a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, focusing on leadership and social justice in education. Previous roles include teaching and student teaching at Worcester Public Schools, and various positions in customer service and the arts.
