Kevin Lin

Advisor at Baobab Studios

Kevin Lin is a Taiwanese-American business advisor, CEO, and Co-Founder of Baobab Studios. Kevin is also a public speaker, having given talks at various film, television, gaming, and tech conferences. In 2015, Kevin was nominated for an Oscar for their work on The Dam Keeper, a short animated film.

Kevin's journey in the entertainment industry began when they were just out of college. Kevin started as a production assistant on independent films before moving on to work with the Producers Guild of America. It was during their time with the PGA that Kevin had the opportunity to work on their first Oscar-nominated film, The Dam Keeper.

After a few years working in the film industry, Kevin decided to switch gears and focus on the gaming industry. Kevin took a position with the World Economic Forum, where they helped launch the Game Changers program. Kevin then moved on to Gold House, where they worked as a producer and consultant.

In 2017, Kevin co-founded Baobab Studios, an award-winning virtual reality animation studio. Under Kevin's leadership, Baobab has produced several VR short films, including the Emmy-winning Crow: The Legend. Kevin continues to serve as an advisor at Baobab Studios, helping the company create innovative and immersive experiences for their audiences.

Kevin Lin has a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University in Computer Science, Art, and Human Computer Interaction. Kevin also has an MBA from Harvard Business School in Tech Media and Entertainment.
