Larry Johnson has a diverse work experience in the field of chaplaincy and pastoral services. Larry served as the Vice President of Chaplaincy Services at Baptist Community Ministries since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Police Chaplain for the same organization from January 2020 to November 2020. Mr. Johnson also served as a Pastor at Crossroads Community Church of Kenner from May 2014 to April 2020. In addition, they gained professional experience as a Chaplain Resident at East Jefferson General Hospital from December 2016 to November 2017.
Larry Johnson received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from American Military University in 2012. Larry then went on to pursue a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, which they completed in 2015. Larry continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Theology degree in Pastoral Ministries by 2021. In December 2020, Larry obtained the certification of Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) from the Association of Professional Chaplains.

Grants – BCM strives to provide a better quality of life for all people in the region through grantmaking with specific zones of interest in health, education, and public safety.
