John Litzler

John Litzler is an experienced attorney and legal consultant with a diverse background in church law and civil trial practice. Currently serving as General Counsel and Legal Consultant for the Baptist General Convention of Texas since January 2015, Litzler has also held leadership roles as Director of the Church Law Division and Legal One Another Project for Christian Unity Ministries and the One Another Project from January 2016 to September 2022. Prior experience includes practice at Litzler Law Office from August 2011 to April 2016, where responsibilities encompassed drafting motions, representing clients, and developing case strategies. Additionally, Litzler has contributed to legal education as a Law Teacher at Jack E. Singley Academy and gained valuable insights through a legal research internship with the Big 12 Conference. Litzler holds a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The University of Texas.
