Kelly Shackelford

Kelly Shackelford has extensive experience in the legal field, having founded and served as President, CEO, and Chief Counsel of First Liberty Institute since July 1997. Prior to this, Kelly was the President of the Freemarket Foundation from 1997 to 2011. In addition, Kelly served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at The University of Texas at Austin from 1994 to 2004. Kelly obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Baylor University in 1985 and went on to earn a Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law in 1988. Between 1989 and 1999, Kelly also pursued education at Dallas Theological Seminary.
