John Sullivan M.D.

John Sullivan MD, SFHM has an extensive work experience in hospital medicine, starting as a Hospitalist at Ochsner Health System in 1999. John later worked as a Hospitalist at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center before transitioning to Baptist Health Care, where they served as a Hospitalist and eventually became the Hospitalist Medical Director. In 2007, they took on the role of Hospice Medical Director at Gentiva Health Services. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Medical Officer, Hospital Medicine at ApolloMD, a position they assumed in November 2022.

John Sullivan MD, SFHM completed their Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Tulane University from 1988 to 1991. John then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, graduating in 1996. In addition to their medical degrees, they obtained certifications in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine in 2010 and became board-certified in Internal Medicine in 1999.
