Lisa Lavoie has a diverse background in healthcare, public health, and environmental science. Lisa started their career as an Environmental Scientist before transitioning to roles within the STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, where they worked as an Epidemiologist and Public Health Preparedness Regional Planner/Trainer. In 2010, they joined Baptist Health Care and held various positions, including Infection Prevention Manager, Director of Clinical Quality, Corporate Director of Clinical Excellence, and currently serves as the Executive Director of Quality and Patient Safety Officer. Throughout their career, Lisa has demonstrated leadership in improving safety and quality outcomes, implementing infection prevention strategies, and coordinating public health preparedness training programs.
Lisa Lavoie obtained their Associate's degree in Registered Nursing from Pensacola Junior College in the years 2008-2010. Lisa went on to pursue a Master's degree in Public Health at the University of West Florida from 2007-2010. Lastly, Lisa completed their Doctor's Degree in Health Science from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences between 2017-2020. Lisa also holds various certifications including Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Registered Nurse, Certified in Infection Control (CIC), and Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS).
