Derick Ziegler is the VP of Affiliate Integration and VP of West Tennessee Operations at Baptist Memorial Health Care. Derick has over fifteen years of experience in the medical field, with a focus on administration and management.

Derick began their career as a Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander for Administration at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. Derick then served in the same capacity at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and Pacific Regional Medical Command. In 2008, they became the CEO of Baptist Memorial Hospital, where they served for six years.

During their time as CEO, Derick was responsible for the overall operation of the hospital, including 14 accredited Graduate Medical Education programs. Derick successfully managed a budget of over $284 million and a staff of 3,850 employees. In 2014, they transitioned to their current role at Baptist Memorial Health Care.

In their current position, Derick is responsible for affiliate integration and operations in West Tennessee. Derick has successfully implemented numerous initiatives to improve the efficiency and quality of care at Baptist Memorial Health Care. Under their leadership, the organization has seen significant growth and expansion.

Derick Ziegler has a MHA from Baylor University and a BS from the University of Pittsburgh in Health Care Administration and Masters of Social Work.

Derick Ziegler reports to Jason Little, President & CEO. They work with Chris Anderson - VP. Mississippi Operations, Skip Steward - VP & Chief Improvement Officer, and Mary Ellen Sumrall - System Chief Nursing Executive & Chief Nursing Officer for Baptist Memphis.
