Yarden Tzach

Yarden Tzach is an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Bar-Ilan University since June 2020, focusing on the underlying mechanisms of successful deep learning in Computer Vision and NLP tasks. Research efforts involve analyzing various architectures such as VGG, EfficientNet, ViT, and BERT, aiming to uncover explanations for the success of specific AI models using complex systems and statistical mechanics. Prior experience includes serving as a Satellite Communications Technician for the Israel Defense Forces from March 2016 to August 2018, ensuring the proper functioning of communication systems and developing applications to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, Yarden worked as a Software Developer at Frank Mobile Applications LTD from December 2017 to April 2018, where frontend and backend systems for custom survey creation were developed. Yarden holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics (expected 2025) and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Bar-Ilan University, along with an Engineer's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Technology.
