Juan F. Merchán

Juan F. Merchán has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Juan F. started their career as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen in 1994, where they eventually became a Senior Auditor. In 1997, they joined AGBAR as an Internal Audit Manager, responsible for internal audit, accounting, and tax procedures in Water Sector Subsidiaries. Juan F. then took on several roles at AGBAR, including Controlling & Reporting Manager, IFRS Project Manager, Business Development Manager, and Internal Control Director.

In 2011, Juan joined COMSA Corporación as the International Division - Economic Director, a position they held for seven years. Juan F. then moved on to Bidfood Iberia - Guzmán Gastronomía as CFO from 2018 to 2019.

From 2020 onwards, Juan held various CFO roles at different companies. Juan F. was the CFO at Playgiga from August 2020 to July 2022 and the CFO at Metrix Partners from August 2020 to present. In 2021, they joined BusUp as CFO and Firmaprofesional, where they served as CFO from July 2021 to May 2023. In 2022, they became the CFO for Hybrid Energy Storage Solutions Ltd. and Barbara.

Juan F. Merchán completed their BBA&MBA degree in Business/Managerial Economics at Esade from 1989 to 1994. Juan F. further pursued executive education at Esade in 2005, obtaining a PDD degree in Management. In 2016, they participated in a short focused program at IESE Business School, successfully executing the implementation of the strategy. Additionally, in 2013, they completed a short focused program in Organizational Leadership at IESE Business School.
