Kat Kourbeti is a versatile creative professional with extensive experience in the fields of speculative fiction and performing arts. As a columnist for the British Science Fiction Association, Kat explores the intersection of science-fiction theatre and community engagement. Serving as an organizer for Spectrum Writers London, Kat has played a pivotal role in managing one of the largest critique groups for science fiction and fantasy writers. In podcasting, Kat works as a freelance producer and host for Pod People and serves as a senior podcast editor for Strange Horizons, an award-winning speculative fiction magazine. Additional roles include box office sales assistant at the National Theatre and casual stage door keeper at the Barbican Centre, alongside a history of film programming and events coordination at various venues.
