Antonio Cortés Sitjas is a prominent figure in labor and social integration within Catalunya, currently serving as the Secretaría General de UGT-FICA de l'Hospitalet since October 2022. With extensive experience at Veolia since February 2018, Antonio holds a position as a member of the European Group Committee and has been actively involved in the municipal representation of the Poble Gitano in Barcelona through the City Council's advisory board since February 2021. With a dedicated career at VEOLIA SERVEIS CATALUNYA SA starting in March 2007, Antonio has also served as the legal representative for workers and has held roles such as maintenance technician. Previously, Antonio worked at UGT-FICA del Barcelonès as the Responsible for Social Action and Integration from January 2021 to October 2022 and as a Union Advisor for UGT FICA from May 2017 to October 2022, alongside a role as Training Manager for Avalot Joves from November 2013 to December 2016. Antonio's education includes attendance at IES Escola del Treball between 2000 and 2002.
