Olga Àbalos

Olga Àbalos is a seasoned professional in the fields of journalism, music, and cultural management. Since June 2013, Àbalos has served as the Director and Editor for VOLATA, a magazine centered on cycling culture, and has concurrently worked as a freelance music journalist for diari ARA. In academia, Àbalos holds the position of Associate Professor at Universitat de Barcelona and serves as a guest lecturer at Fundació Universitat de Girona. As a cultural advisor for the Ajuntament de Barcelona, Àbalos contributes to various cultural projects and has served on multiple juries, including the Premio Ciutat de Barcelona and Premis Altaveu. Additionally, Àbalos has extensive experience in event management, including roles as Stage Manager for Sónar Festival and Head of Press for the Festival de Jazz Terrassa, alongside a diverse background as a freelance musician. Àbalos earned a degree in Journalism from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between 1998 and 2005.
