Anna Massaneda has extensive experience in strategic planning and project coordination within the research sector. Currently, as the Coordinator of Strategic Planning & Institutional Projects at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) since 2015, Anna Massaneda focuses on developing and monitoring the entity's strategic plan and action plans while ensuring alignment with stakeholder strategies. Previously, as the Head of the Preaward Unit, responsibilities included managing preaward activities across two campuses, with a strong emphasis on diversifying the research grants portfolio. Anna Massaneda's career began at the University of Barcelona as an European Grants Manager (2006 - 2010) and continued at CRESIB, where a leadership role in R+D Grants & Contracts occurred until the merger with ISGlobal in 2015. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Biochemistry from Universitat de Barcelona and an Erasmus Fellowship at Université de Paul Sabatier in France.
