Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal)
María-Jesús Pinazo Delgado currently serves as the Head of Chagas at the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) since January 2022. At the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), María-Jesús has held various roles since August 2007, including Coordinator of the consortium and Lead researcher of the InSPIRES project, aimed at fostering participatory innovation and equity in science. Additionally, María-Jesús is the Technical Coordinator of the Platform for Chagas Disease, a project funded by the Catalan and Spanish agencies. Concurrently, María-Jesús works as a Research Assistant Professor at Hospital Clínic i Provincial and has been involved with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as a Consultant in clinical cases since January 2012. As an Internal Medicine Physician at the same hospital since August 2007, María-Jesús has a robust educational background with a Research Doctorate in Internal Medicine from Universitat de Barcelona and an MBBS from Universidad de Granada.
