Hrant Hovhannisyan, PhD, is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center since June 2019, contributing to advanced research in the field. Prior to this role, Hrant served as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher at the Centre for Genomic Regulation from June 2016 to June 2019, and completed a brief internship as a Bioinformatics Intern at Illumina in mid-2017. Hrant's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Academic Officer at Russian-Armenian University and a Junior Researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology NAS RA from 2011 to 2016, as well as a summer training program at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center in 2012. Hrant began academic studies with a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics from Russian-Armenian University, followed by a PhD program at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, completed in 2019.
