Roger Ferrer Ibáñez

Roger Ferrer Ibáñez is a seasoned professional in the field of computer sciences, currently serving as a Research Engineer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center since June 2018, where coordination of the Compiler & Toolchains for High Performance Computing group is a primary responsibility. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in LLVM at ARM from April 2016 to May 2018, contributing to the development of the Arm Compiler 5 and 6 for bare-metal and embedded systems. Roger previously held a position as a Research Support Engineer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center from December 2005 to April 2016, focusing on the maintenance of the Mercurium compiler infrastructure for parallel programming models. Academic credentials comprise a Master’s Degree in Computer Architecture and Network Systems and an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Engineering, both obtained from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
