Santiago Marco-Sola is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of computational biology. Currently, Santiago serves as an Associate Researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center since August 2019, while also holding the position of Lecturer Professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya since September 2023. Previously, Santiago was a Lecturer Professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from October 2013 to August 2023, where additional roles included Associate Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher. Santiago's early career included a position as a PhD Student at Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG) from September 2010 to July 2016 and as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) from November 2012 to December 2015.
