Carol O'Shea is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial risk management and reporting. Currently serving as COO of Financial Risk Management at Barclays since October 2010, Carol has successfully overseen the global cost base for the Risk Function, delivering significant cost savings and enhancing efficiency through analytical strategies. Prior to Barclays, Carol held the position of Financial Controller at Swissport, where monthly management reports were designed for decision-making support, and served as Head of Finance for CEMEA at the British Standards Institute, where consolidation and control of regional accounts were key responsibilities. Carol's educational background includes an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, CIMA certification from BPP, and a BA Honours in Economics from Middlesex University.
