Prashant Mate

Prashant Mate is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Global Fraud Detection Engineering at Barclays since July 2022, overseeing teams focused on identity verification and fraud detection. Previously, Prashant held the role of Head of Engineering for Acquisitions and Originations US Cards, where transformation of the US cards Acquisition platform was prioritized. Prior to Barclays, Prashant spent over five years at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as Executive Director of Software Engineering, leading Agile and technology transformations. Additional experience includes significant roles at Capital One and various positions at JPMorgan Chase and NBC Universal, showcasing extensive expertise in software engineering, team leadership, and process optimization. Prashant holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Pune and a Diploma of Education in Computer Software Engineering from the Center of Advanced Computing.
