Tanmoy Ghosh

Tanmoy Ghosh is a seasoned professional in risk management and model validation, currently serving as the Head of India Model Risk Management and Global AI/ML Model Validation at Barclays since September 2015. In this role, Tanmoy oversees global fraud, compliance, and AI/ML model validation efforts. Prior to Barclays, Tanmoy held the position of Vice President in the Independent Validation Unit at American Express, focusing on the technical review of decision, fraud, and regulatory models. Tanmoy's extensive experience at American Express also includes roles as Director of Enterprise Risk Management, where a Basel credit risk framework was developed, and as Senior Manager for Institutional Risk Management, where quantitative risk assessment frameworks were built. Tanmoy began a professional career in risk management with a focus on fraud risk at American Express. Educational qualifications include an M.S. from the Indian Statistical Institute, an Executive Management Program in Finance and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and CFA Level 1 from the CFA Institute, USA.
