Stephen Podgurski, CTS-D, is an accomplished Senior Technology Systems Designer at BR+A Consulting Engineers since November 2021, with a wealth of experience in audiovisual systems design and integration. Prior roles include Senior Engineer at HB Communications and AV Design Engineer at Red Thread, where responsibilities included designing commercial AV systems for diverse sectors such as enterprise and healthcare, engaging with clients and sales teams, and managing project scope and documentation. Additional experience encompasses roles at CompView Audio Visual as a System Integration Specialist, where project management and design were key, along with earlier positions in repair and rental management at Intellisys Group and sales representation at BCSR, Inc. Podgurski holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Rhode Island.

BR+A was founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1975 by Gene Bard, Arjun Rao, and Ted Athanas. With just 11 MEP design engineers and a few rooms packed with drafting tables, they built a firm that would become respected for solid engineering and even stronger relationships. Over the past four decades, we’ve been through a few transitions. While many things have changed, a lot is still the same. Today, we operate eight offices nationwide and employ hundreds of dedicated team members, but we are still proud to be an employee-owned firm. And although we’ve traded our drafting tables for BIM, AutoCAD and Revit, we continue to make MEP excellence the core of our practice—while helping our clients explore innovative design solutions.
