Allison C. Diehl has a long history of work experience. Allison C. began their career in 1994 as a Field School Laboratory Director at Arizona State University. In 1995, they worked as an Archaeologist at Desert Archaeology, Inc. Allison C. then moved on to The Science Center in 1996 as an Assistant Director. In 1997, they were a Historical Researcher at the University of Louisville. Allison C. returned to Desert Archaeology, Inc. in 1998 as a Project Director, where they led over 400 small cultural resource projects in Arizona and produced compliance and technical reports. Allison C. also conducted historical artifact analysis and submitted permit applications and assembled project submissions for the Arizona State Museum and Bureau of Land Management. In 2005, they joined Barefoot Books as a Program and Technology Manager, Training & Quality Assurance Specialist, and Community Bookseller. In 2017, they became the Business Owner of Diehl Research, LLC.

Allison C. Diehl received their M.A. in Archaeology and Museum Studies from Arizona State University in 1995. Prior to that, they obtained their B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992.
