Nellie Beckner

Nellie Beckner is an Urban Planning Specialist at Barefoot Land Co since December 2024 and a UI/UX student at Springboard, actively completing over 700 hours of coursework with expert mentorship. As the owner of My Aesthetic Escape, Nellie creates costume jewelry, candles, oils, and home goods since March 2018. Previously, Nellie served as a Senior Land Planner at Manhard Consulting and held various roles at the Village of Mount Prospect, including Assistant Village Manager and Senior Planner, focusing on strategic planning and community development projects. Additionally, Nellie was involved with the Northwest Municipal Conference as Co-Chair of the Bike and Pedestrian Committee. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University, a UI/UX Design Career Track from Springboard, and a bachelor's degree in Geography/Environmental Studies from Western Michigan University.
