Laura Vega

Laura Vega is a Senior Associate and Assistant Controller at Barings, having started in December 2023. Previously, Laura was an Audit Associate at Grant Thornton LLP from January 2022 to November 2023, where responsibilities included analyzing financial statements, interacting with client management, and collaborating on various audit engagements. Laura's experience also encompasses roles as an Accountant and Assistant Manager at Tryon Auto Repair, where responsibilities included financial reporting and employee management, as well as a Spring Tax Intern at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, gaining valuable tax preparation knowledge. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, along with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an Associate of Arts in Accounting from the same institution, complemented by a Technology degree in Information Systems from Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA).
