Matthew Livas

Matthew Livas, CFA has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Matthew is currently a Managing Director and the Head of Public Fixed Income Client Portfolio Management at Barings since December 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew worked at PIMCO as a Credit Product Strategist and held the position of Senior Vice President from February 2018 until December 2022. Matthew also worked at BlackRock as a Credit Product Strategist and Director from June 2012 until February 2018. Matthew started their career at Morgan Stanley in 2001 as an Executive Director in Fixed Income Sales. At Morgan Stanley, they were involved in fixed income sales and trading, covering rates and credit products, as well as providing investment banking services and advice to corporates and banks for capital market financing and strategic considerations.

Matthew Livas, CFA completed their undergraduate education at The University of Edinburgh from 1997 to 2001, earning an M.A. (Hons) degree in Economics and Economic History. Matthew also attended the CFA Institute for further studies in the field of Chartered Financial Analyst, although specific dates and degree information are not provided.
