Barnbougle Golf Links

Two world top-100 rated links golf courses, a 14-hole short course, accommodation and dining facilities located on the pristine coastline of north east Tasmania. The Dunes, Barnbougle’s original course, is a Links Golf Course unlike any other in Australia. Meandering along Tasmania’s dramatic North East coast, it’s where breathtaking scenery and thrilling golf truly come together. The recipient of global accolades, Barnbougle Dunes was designed by U.S Golf visionary Tom Doak and Australian Mike Clayton to channel the traditional links courses of Scotland and Ireland. Golf at the Dunes is a game of strategy, where each shot requires tactical thought and a little creativity can be rewarding. Just a short pitching wedge across the river from The Dunes, lies Barnbougle’s second instalment – Lost Farm. Despite Lost Farm’s close proximity to The Dunes, Lost Farm is remarkably different, featuring 20-holes that wind along the coast and through the coastal dunes. Officially opened on 10 December 2010, Lost Farm was designed by world-renowned US golf course design company Coore & Crenshaw. Also rated in the top 100 courses in the world, Lost Farm has captured the interest from golfers around the globe. Set atop the dramatic sand dunes behind Lost Farm, Bougle Run, is the 14-hole short course at Barnbougle. Also designed by internationally acclaimed Golf Architect Bill Coore, Bougle Run’s 14 holes consist of 12 par-3’s and two par 4’s which sit on the tall, undulating coastal dunes between Lost Farm’s front and back 9. The route, which includes some of the highest points of the entire Barnbougle complex, is set slightly back from the coastline, providing aerial-like views over the Lost Farm Course and Anderson’s Bay. A fun, challenging addition to Barnbougle’s two world top 100 courses, Bougle Run is designed for golfers of all abilities and the perfect option to sate your golf appetite in just 90 minutes.
