Paula Fessler

Paula Fessler is currently serving as the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Barnes-Jewish Hospital since September 2023. Prior to this role, Fessler held the position of Chief Nursing Officer at UNC Health from January 2022 to August 2023. Fessler's extensive experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive at Westchester Medical Center from December 2018 to December 2021, and as a Board Member for the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioner between July 2018 and November 2021. Fessler also worked as Vice President of Emergency Medicine Service Line at Northwell Health from January 2015 to January 2019. Fessler earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Rochester - William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, and holds a degree from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University.
