Kirk Hinkley, MD, FACEP, FAAEM has a diverse work experience in the field of emergency medicine. Kirk currently serves as the Chief Clinical Officer at Barnes-Kasson County Hospital, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Vapotherm as the Director of Education and Director of ED Education from December 2019 to May 2020.
Dr. Hinkley also has experience as a Medical Director at Community Health Systems since August 2013 and as a Medical Director at the City of Scranton since April 2021. Kirk has been involved in academia as well, serving as the President of the Alumni Board at Penn State College of Medicine from September 2016 to September 2020 and as an Executive Board Member of the Penn State Alumni Association from September 2017 to July 2019.
Before their current roles, Dr. Hinkley worked as a Medical Director at Moses Taylor Hospital from April 2013 to February 2018, where they trained medical students, residents, medics, and PA students in emergency medicine. Kirk also served as an Emergency Medicine Physician at United Health Services (UHS) from September 2011 to May 2013, where they were involved in residency education for UHS Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Hinkley's career began in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Flight Surgeon and SGP as well as an Emergency Physician from 2004 to 2011.
Kirk Hinkley, MD, FACEP, FAAEM completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General at Rider University from 1996 to 2000. Kirk then went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Penn State College of Medicine from 2000 to 2004.
