Andy Leggett

Andy Leggett has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Andy started working at Yuet Wah College in Macau as an English Teacher in 1993. Andy then worked as a Research Associate at the Economist Intelligence Unit in the Philippines from 1995 to 1996. Following that, Andy worked as a Manager at Grosvenor Casinos Limited, where they completed a fast-track management training program in the highly regulated casino industry. Andy then joined Suffolk Life in 1999 as a Schemes Manager, where they gained detailed knowledge of self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs) and handled SIPP administration, technical knowledge, writing, presenting, and sales. From 2004 to 2011, Andy worked as a Marketing & Technical Manager at Suffolk Life, overseeing brand, marketing, communications, and managing a team. Andy was responsible for regulatory change projects and product development. In 2011, they joined Defaqto as an Insight Analyst, specializing in research and consultancy for pensions and retirement income products. After that, they worked independently as an Independent Retirement Specialist for a short period before joining Barnett Waddingham LLP in 2012. At Barnett Waddingham, they served as the Principal | Head of Business Development, SIPPs. Their responsibilities included marketing strategy development, building relationships with financial advisers and strategic partners, providing research-based advice on proposition development, and promoting the Flexible SIPP, which is a bespoke self-invested personal pension offered by Barnett Waddingham.

Andy Leggett received their BSc in Business Studies from the University of Bradford from 1989 to 1992.
