John Engberg

John Engberg, PE, currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering and Engineering Project Services Manager at Barnhart Crane & Rigging since June 2011, overseeing the Engineering Project Support Department and the design of assigned projects. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Engineer managing planning, design, construction oversight, and operational risk for heavy lift and transport projects. Prior to Barnhart, John worked at Ceco Building Systems from February 2008 to June 2011 as a Design Engineer, focusing on structural analysis and design of metal building systems, and at Carlson Consulting Engineers as a Project Manager from December 2006 to February 2008, where responsibilities included commercial site development planning. John began the career as an Engineering Co-Op at Ceco Building Systems from January 2004 to January 2006. John holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University, obtained between 2003 and 2006, and an education background from Northwest Mississippi Community College from 2001 to 2003.
