Alec Tinker

Public Health Senior Practitioner at Barnsley Council

Alec Tinker currently works as a Public Health Senior Practitioner and Senior Public Health Officer at Barnsley Council since November 2019. Prior to this role, Alec owned Penistone Osteopathy from November 2013 to May 2020 and volunteered at Zest in Sheffield from April 2018 to December 2018. Additional experience includes serving as an Osteopath and first aid provider at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School from September 2014 to December 2018, and completing a public health work experience placement at Sheffield City Council in March to June 2017. Alec holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health and Health Promotion from Leeds Beckett University (2015-2016) and a Master's degree in Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy from the same institution (2009-2013). Alec's education began at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield, where studies were completed from 1996 to 2009.
