Jeff Huffman

Jeff Huffman is an experienced meteorologist currently serving as a Digital Meteorologist at Baron Weather since February 2022. Previously, Jeff held the position of Chief Meteorologist and Director at the University of Florida from July 2011 to March 2022, where Jeff played a crucial role in developing WRUF-TV, a 24-hour local news, weather, and sports channel for aspiring broadcast meteorologists. In 2013, Jeff established the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network (FPREN) to enhance communication during hazardous tropical weather across public radio stations in Florida. Jeff's earlier career includes roles as Meteorologist and Director of New Media at JW Broadcasting, LLC, an on-air Meteorologist at Wright Communications LLLP, and a Weekend Meteorologist at KRCG. Jeff's educational background includes degrees in Geography and Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
