Ahmad Habbal has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Prior to their current role as Cofounder and Chief Operating & Strategy Officer at BARQ App, they served as the General Manager of the company from April 2019 to December 2020.
Before joining BARQ App, Ahmad worked at PwC Middle East, starting in 2014. During their time at PwC, they held several positions including Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant. As a Manager, they led the transformation of a major public security regulator in a GCC country, managed a team of consultants and subject matter experts, and played a key role in growing PwC's Sports Sector engagements in the region. Ahmad also conducted business development meetings with senior stakeholders and utilized PwC's global network and digital services capabilities.
As a Senior Consultant, Ahmad provided support to a Food Security Entity in a GCC country, where they designed a Smart Subsidy program for poultry, layer, and milk producers. Ahmad also developed a 5-year Strategic Plan for a National Food Safety Authority in the GCC, focusing on assessing the current state, conducting benchmarks, and drafting the organization's vision, mission, and strategic themes.
As a Consultant, Ahmad worked on various projects such as developing a growth strategy and business plans for an industrial manufacturing conglomerate in Saudi Arabia, assisting in the development of a 10-year national sectorial strategy for a public entity, and designing a national association in Saudi Arabia.
Overall, Ahmad Habbal has demonstrated expertise in strategy, business development, and transformation programs, particularly in the Middle East region.
Ahmad Habbal completed their education with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. In 2016, they attended Hult Ashridge for Executive Education, focusing on Translating Strategy into Action. Additionally, Ahmad Habbal obtained a certification as a Balanced Scorecard Professional from The KPI Institute in July 2018. Ahmad also has additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma and Prince 2 Project Management, although the institutions and specific dates of obtaining those certifications are unknown.
