Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones is a highly experienced ecological and environmental professional with a robust background spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Senior Ecologist at Salix Environmental LLC since March 2018 and as a Senior Environmental Scientist at Barr Engineering since March 2005, Daniel specializes in project management and comprehensive environmental documentation, including sensitive species surveys, wetland delineations, and permitting assistance. Previous roles include an Ecologist at Jones & Stokes, an Environmental Scientist at Sheldon & Associates, and Co-owner/Senior Biologist at KuJo, Inc., where Daniel led vegetation monitoring projects for federal agencies. Earlier experience at the Illinois Department of Transportation involved coordination with permitting agencies and wetland delineation. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Ecology from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor's degree in Botany & Plant Pathology from Michigan State University.
