Michael McKinney, PE, is a Water Resources Engineer with extensive experience in hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling at Barr Engineering Co. since November 2012, where notable contributions include the development of several Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) and expertise in stormwater infrastructure and Best Management Practices (BMP) design. Previous roles include positions as a Graduate Researcher and UCARE Student Researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where research focused on depressional storage on agricultural surfaces and soil science experiments, respectively. Additional experience encompasses stream restoration consulting with Water Land and Air Consulting, Inc., and developing pollution prevention strategies within the UNL Pollution Prevention Program (P3).
